Re-introduce evening, overnight and Sunday bus services

Re-introduce evening, overnight and Sunday bus services

At present, anyone living outside a short to moderate walking distance of the town centre is discouraged from going into town for evening or Sunday events. At night out to the theatre, cinema or restaurant, for example, means a long walk home or an expensive taxi ride. The re-introduction of evening services, even if they follow a longer, more circuitous route, would encourage more people to come into town for the "night life".

Points

Living outside Shrewsbury as I do I can only attend anything on a Sunday or Bank Holiday - when many events take place - or at night by using a taxi as I don't have a car. This means I am effectively barred from a lot of what goes on in the town. Shropshire people as well as tourists would like to take part in Shrewsbury's night and entertainment life (and late night Christmas shopping etc) which the Council is always saying it is trying to promote. No use if no infrastructure.
