The Green New Deal is a concept based on tackling climate breakdown in a way that improves peoples’ lives and builds a fairer, more democratic society and economy. The Green New Deal concept has been developed in Britain into a 10-year action plan. In NI, a group of non-profit organisations developed a Green New Deal action plan tailored for our region; it didn't get enough party support in Stormont and was voted against in 2011. But the concept, the ideas, the actions, are still valid and worth pursuing - in fact more than ever. I wanted to add this idea to our Declaration but maybe others can provide local contact details
