The Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) is a project document which serves as a tool for ensuring that the infrastructure sub projects implemented through the project comply with the existing laws, regulations and practices in Albania, as well as with the World Bank’s Operational Guidelines. The project is classified as Category B in regards to safeguards risks, which means that there will be a few social and environmental impacts which will be mitigated.
