A fair and efficient onshore processing regime for refugees

With fair and efficient management, refugees can become an asset to the country rather than a fiscal and security burden. Particularly in the case of refugess from zones where Australia is militarily involved, part of the contribution the country should make to improving the geo-political environment (a justification for engaging in military conflict) is to provide refuge to those who are at risk and adversely affected by their local conditions.

"OMG they're taking all our jobs!" says a random Australian citizen. "We can't handle all the on-shore processing, lets do it off-shore, but we need more young people to bolster our aging population" says the Australian government. We should expand the immigration sector to allow for more job availability in that area.
