With the surge of companies leaving the UK in banking, finance and insurance.. Malta offers the right environment and setup for them to setup new local hubs here. Help promote this to bring new industries and opportunities to the island. An idea is to setup a specific team of talented individuals specifically aimed at targeting these companies.
Although I do support this idea, one needs to think whether our infrastructure can handle this influx. Here is one example - foreign families relocating to Malta in the gaming industry find it extremely hard to place their children in international/private schools since there are long waiting lists. Education comes first for these families and therefore, some of them are not relocating because of this issue.
