night transport

night transport

Drunk driving happens on a daily basis in Malta, this is because of very expensive taxis and not having a proper night bus service. The buses are operated by the private sector, but it is essential that there are buses available to all of malta (which is not the case at the moment). On the other hand, taxis need to decrease their prices and there should be a price ceiling as to how much one is able to charge. As a country we truly need to tackle such an issue

Points

Also the number of licenses given to taxis should be increased. Encourage companies like uber to set up shop in Malta. More taxi drivers and more competition will lead to lower prices and people wont be discouraged from getting a taxi. Also much more enforcement from the police.
