All of Malta's residences are connected to an affordable water system delivered through an efficient piped water system. There is absolutely no reason for water to be delivered by bowser. Bowsers, by virtue of their weight, damage roads and pavements, emit toxic emissions, are an inconvenience to traffic and pedestrian flow, are a source of noise (when emptying the contents). Moreover, the water is water that is pumped illegally from boreholes, for free. Do they serve the national interest?
