Currently tax returns are filed by either on a single status or jointly, in cases of couples. It is being proposed that every individual files tax return and his income separately. This will generate more tax returns but will eliminate various problems for couples when declaring their income. (May also be proposed as an option that every taxpayer can elect to the proposed system). Many organizations are in favour of this suggested system.
