The PN should explore the possibility and feasibility of re-constructing a new opera house, theatre or music/cultural centre on the site of the old opera house in Valletta. After all the grand Piano entrance and parliament surely deserve something better than that unappealing, open air nondescript theatre/structure. If a theatre, opera house or music centre are not feasible, some other use of "national importance" should be considered.
I d rather have that money invested in already existing theatres and reputable performing arts schools. The costs of running a show are on the increase, with theatre managements having to stretch budgets beyond imagination, risking a decline in the quality of their productions. Let us first save what we have got!
