The Crafts village in Ta' Qali should be revamped. The outlets must offer pure Maltese products / crafts produced locally and not cheap imported souvenirs or items. This must be a real showcase of Maltese talent and capabilities. Rent must be subsidised due to the limited income certain crafts render. This village should not be targeting just tourists but locals as well. Stalls mustn't be restricted to existent crafts only.

My work is directly with foreigners and when I show delegates around Malta and take them to Ta' Qali their comments are generally negative mainly due to the state of the place and some of the products on offer.
