Current system (via KNPD and Transport Malta) is useless for people who are diagnosed with terminal and especially short term terminal illnesses. They are required to wait in a room full of people to visit a doctor at KNPD premises when most of the time these people's immune system is severely compromised. Moreover, even when the card is approved, it takes too long to be issued (these people do not always have the luxury of time !)
