Fuel Prices

Fuel Prices

Shouldn't fuel prices reflect the reduced cost of crude oil, when compared with the prices we had to pay for crude oil during the Gonzi administration?

Points

While it may seem as a great idea to many (since it benefits them directly), it may not be beneficial to society as a whole. If Fuel prices were to decrease drastically, it is only logical to conclude that it will lead to increased car use, traffic, emissions, and health problems, while compounding the country's parking woes. I believe the long term indirect costs of such a measure far outweigh its immediate benefits.
