A lot of gov arable land has been abandoned...or simply used for forrage. so that the tenent holds on to it. Yet good farmers with added value agriculture products find themselves restrained by the amount of land in their possession. Moreover, new blood entering this sector is impossible unless family have land. What about a scheme that incentivates these tenents who do not utilise the land productively to give away their rights and have that land transferred to productive agri ideas/farmers
Practising farmers should be given right to use abandoned land
Unfortunately this practice is the cause of land fragmentation that makes agricultural production less viable. Many such plots are only used for hunting or trapping activities often illegal.
