Teachers were given professional status plus loads of work and responsibilities but unfortunately their wage is miserable compared to the hard work they do both in class (with 20 - 28 students in class) and at home [lesson plans ,lesson preparation, correction of h.w., and many other paperwork...]. Practical (pecuniary) acknowledgement to their professional vocation is greatly appreciated.
I think that this will be a good incentive for teachers and prospective teachers. There is a crisis with regards to teachers as there is a lack of them in certain subjects. This is a result of poor wages that do not compliment the work load. Teachers are currently undergoing a new system which was forced on them and no one seems to care. Teachers need to be appreciated, after all they are professionals too.
