Tax at Source

Tax at Source

Tax at source should be allowed to be claimed on the declared gross dividends. The three threshold must be abolished restricting the declaration of dividends and claiming the relative tax at source. Reasons are because taxpayers earning less than Euro 60,000 should be charged at 25%. It is unfair especially on pensioners, also considering the return on investments is low. Dr. Simon Busuttil mentioned this measure long ago but has not mentioned it now in his proposals yet.
