Presently when a developer constructs an apartment block he may opt to pay a fine of EUR 500.00 for every garage he is not building. The government should consider investigating areas where large blocks are being built, the government builds a large multi storey parking and developers who opt not to build garage should contribute for the construction of this parking and so there sill be no lost space. And electric bikes present for users to go home and back.
If a car park is built via the government (tax payers money) why not have the construction industry in put funds for the parking they do not supply!!!!
Additional to this proposal, every unit should be assigned 2 garages or parking spots as minimum. Nowadays, most families have at least 2 cars.
